How do you guys feel about the California On series? I find that sometimes it makes me hysterically crack up, but other times he is just kinda mean and borderline racist. I guess he's a good guy though, but sometimes his jokes play to the YouTube crowd where anything controversial gets views or something.

As someone who was interviewed for the California On series [but it was cut out due to really bad audio], I'm comfortable with his series. He just wanted to make the interview as funny as possible so he'll go for the jokes making fun of people as long as it helps with the ratings. However I do find it a bit inappropriate when he interviews the homeless or people with mental problems. Here's a photo i took before the interview:

To use a sociological term, Kassem is conducting a breaching experiment and he has to be mean and borderline racist in order to get a good reaction out of people.
